On May 24, 2023, in the building of the State Institution “National Library of Tajikistan” on the initiative of the State institution Center for the implementation PPP projects under the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund in the Republic of Tajikistan (UNICEF) in order to ensure the development of the mechanism of public-private partnership in the field of education using the advanced experience of the countries of the region, an international Conference was held on the topic of “Implementation of the mechanism of public-private partnership in the field of education”.
At the event, more than 100 representatives of ministries and agencies, entrepreneurs and investors from Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Region, Sughd-Khatlon regions, Dushanbe city, development partners, representatives of the “Center for Public-Private Partnership” of the Republics of Kazakhstan participated in person and Uzbekistan in virtual form.
It should be noted that with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the necessary regulatory and legal documents on the implementation of the mechanism of Public-Private Partnership have been developed and implemented. The mechanism of Public-Private Partnership is successfully using in the fields of medicine, transport, municipality and energy.
At the same time, within the framework of the Conference, a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the State Institution “Center for the Implementation of Public-Private Partnership Projects”, the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and the JSC “Center for Public-Private Partnership Projects”- of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development of cooperation in the implementation of projects through the mechanism of Public-Private Partnership in the field of education was signed.
