How did it all start?
History

In order to improve the investment and business climate in the country, on December 28, 2012, No. 907, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On public-private partnership” was adopted and put into effect.

For the purpose of implementation, this law was approved by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on July 3, 2013 on the authorized body for public-private partnership and the Council for public-private partnership.

Also, by the decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated July 2, 2013 No. 289, the State Institution “Center for the Implementation of Public-Private Partnership Projects” was created.

The institution developed and submitted to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan a draft resolution “On infrastructure and social services, which is not covered by the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan” On public-private partnership “was adopted on September 4, 2014, No. 581.

During the period of its activity, the Institution has established appropriate cooperation with organizations and institutions, on the basis of which a number of potential partnership projects have been identified and submitted for consideration at the meetings of the Public-Private Partnership Council.

It should be noted that during this period 12 meetings of the Council for Public-Private Partnership were held, relevant conclusions and instructions were given on the projects presented.
